Site Fabricated Stone is a durable coating for your concrete surfaces which is Hand Cut and Site Fabricated. Unlike stamped or applied systems it's the best choice for damaged concrete slabs because the grout lines follow the cracks in the substrate. Unlimited color blends allow maximum creativity in any venue.  HardScape Resurfacing can combine your installation of Fabricated Stone with other systems for a more contemporary look.  The result will be a surface that ages well and looks great!  Browse our Portfolio below to see actual work we have done in Phoenix and the surrounding areas.

Flagstone has been probably one of the more popular surfaces that we have put down over the years.  It works very well both in interior and exterior applications.  By far the majority of the square footage we’ve done have been around swimming pools, primarily commercial swimming pools of four star hotels.  It provides a very rustic look and as such probably hides and camouflages dirt better than any other option. Considering the square footage that a lot of these projects represent flagstone offers the facility manager a bit of a reprieve as far as maintenance and cleaning are concerned, when compared to other surfaces in that it can wear a little dirty surface better because of its rustic nature. It's also the best choice for concrete that is damaged, specifically if it’s got a lot of random cracking in it or if it has received multiple Kool deck type coatings that have to be removed and leave the surface very un-even.

We call our process Fabricated Stone - it's somewhat different than what is typically used becaused we use existing cracks and the construction joints as the basic matrix of the pattern.  This means when the installation is done that a crack is not covered or filled but left to remain open and looks like the rest of joints on the deck.  This allows the slab to expand and contract and move as it needs to plus it allows the concentrated vapor emissions to pass through without affecting the overlay and causing delamination. The installation and texture is somewhat unique and proprietary in as much as it is compressed, rolled where the air is squeezed out, more or less, and compacted.  This provides a very interesting and natural looking texture and at the same time an extremely durable surface which, after the joints are cut, has a very natural look of flagstone.
